I am not going to commit suicide today
so far two lovely
things have happened
I ate freeze-dried strawberries
reconstituted in whole milk
and I heard someone piss so intensely
that I was able to imagine that
her body was hurling a liquid javelin
lately whenever I see an animal
I wonder when its birthday is
two beautiful dogs ride the bus with me
on a regular basis
I can’t commit suicide on a dog’s birthday
